Cleveland, OH

We had a great schedule to see many of the baseball stadiums that we have yet to visit, but then we had the players cause a lockout, which moved the schedule around.  The result was that the Tribe, now known as the Guardians, were not in town during our visit.  We rallied and did the next best thing, take a tour of the stadium, Progessive Field.  I would highly recommend these tours to the baseball fans out there.  We have done several and they have all been interesting.  No stop in Cleveland would be complete without a day spent at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.  The hall is truly a bucket list item for all music lovers.  This was our second visit and they have many new items and galleries open.  They have a new Beatles section on display that I enjoyed.  Watching the video footage of their recording sessions helps one understand all of the jokes about Ringo.  Hahaha.  They also had a creepy Pink Floyd display of the wall that makes sense if you are as medicated as the band was back in those days.  If you find yourself visiting Cleveland, make time to tour the Christmas Story house.  We have done it twice and it brings a smile to my face each time.

  1. Touring the stadium is probably even better than attending the game. Especially if you don’t have a real emotional attachment to the team!
