Philadelphia, PA

With family in the Philly vicinity, our time in the area each year is spent catching up with them.  This year we have a new family member and baby C was the center of attention.  Besides hanging with the fam, we did get in a few new sights and experiences in the Philly area.  We went to a Phillies game, where I got to see them lose by a wide margin and then spent the night at the Union League.  The UL is amazing and we are always humbled to walk the halls and take in all of the history.  Adding two new stops on this trip was a visit to the Rodin museum and the Mutter museum.  The sculptures by Rodin are truly breath taking.  I was surprised by how moved I was by a few of his sculptures.  The Mutter museum is a collection of medical items and body parts that can only be described as "interesting."  They don't let you take photos, so I don't have any to share, but trust me that nobody wants to see the colon with 40 lbs. of backup...

No trip for me to Philly would be complete without a trip into the city to see Drexel and all of the changes.  I'm impressed by the amount of improvement they have made on the campus, but was bummed to find out that Cav's, our college bar, has closed down.

Thanks, Philly, for all of the great memories.  L
