Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada

The views from Canada are much better when it comes to Niagara Falls. I visited the US side over 20 years ago and it was OK where the Canadian side had the wow factor. One of my bucket list items was the boat tour to the base of the falls, which we did, along with touring the behind the falls tunnel system. I was geeking out with all of the science and technology involved with the falls and the power generation. We were so close to Buffalo that we felt like our trip would be less than complete unless we went to the birthplace of the buffalo wing. Anchor Bar had decent wings, good beer and an interesting atmosphere. I had wings here 25 years ago and I liked them better on this trip. LOL. While in Buffalo we toured the Frank Lloyd Wright house, which was amazing, and we toured the house where Theodore Roosevelt was sworn in as our 26th president after the assassination of the President McKinley. Our final day was spent as Niagara on the Lake, which is a beautiful town right on the river bordering the US and Canada. Our last stop was the Wayne Gretsky winery and distillery. The wine was OK, but the scenery and history was fantastic. It was our last stop in Canada and it was beautiful. I am happy to report that US Customs failed to do their job and they let us back into the United States. Welcome home!!!
