Georgian Bay National Park, Ontario, Canada

We had good friends recommend staying in the Huntsville area in order to enjoy the sights around the Georgian Bay NP and we followed that suggestion. For our first day in the area, we visited the National Park, which is only accessible by boat. As we walked from the dock to the visitor center, we passed a couple and noticed that she was wearing a Mountain West hat. We said hello and asked about the hat. They explained that their daughter went to Boise State and was a member of their swim team. Danelle had on her BSU sweatshirt and we talked with them about BSU and Boise. It is a small world sometimes. For our day at the park we decided to rent bikes to explore it. We took our fat tire mountain bikes and rode around the entire island. We had a great day at the park with very few people on the island. A couple of days later we met up with our friend to see his home town of Parry Sound. He gave a great tour of the town and history. Parry Sound is the hometown of hockey legend Bobby Orr. We had a nice and relaxing stay in the 30,000 island area of the Georgian Bay.
