Bay View Campground, Bourne, MA

A nice campground in a central location to explore Cape Cod and the surrounding areas. The sites are dirt and sand in a heavily wooded area that gets a lot of rain, so be prepared for mud and sand everywhere. The roads are narrow and windy, so try to get a site as close to the entrance as possible. The park has a mixture of RV sites, long term RV residents and park models. The park has a nice playground area, pool, lap pool, shuffle board and the standard amenities. The park has security at the front gate and their wifi worked well for us. The downside to the park is the traffic in the area and the entrance is downright dangerous in a car and worse in an RV. The entrance is off a 55 mph road and you are forced to brake in heavy traffic and cross a merging lane within 100 feet. Access to most of the area attractions will force you to navigate the Bourne bridge which has 10-15 minutes of delays at the best of times and over an hour on a frequent basis. We rate this park a 3 out of 5 and will most likely look for other options when we come back to the area.
