We pulled into Hot Springs where it was indeed hot. ;) Unfortunately one of our a/c units broke. But, we were determined to make the best of it since we wanted a spa day on Bath House Row at Hot Springs National Park. We did enjoy a day of pampering but then we spent a day waiting for the mobile repair guy to diagnose and work on the a/c. The only other thing we did while there was drive into Little Rock to visit the Clinton library. Much to our disappointment, there were no blue dresses on display. We've now visited 10 of the 13 museums, on both sides of the aisle and we were quite surprised to see such bias and outright hatred on display. It was very disappointing.
We left a day early to get to our next stop which was Gulf Shores, AL. It is one of our favorite areas. We had a couple of beach days and I had a shopping day (my favorite hobby). We really enjoy the area for its laid back feel. It gives you a chance to decompress. We also took a day and drove down to Pensacola to have dinner with my brilliant and handsome nephew. So great to catch up with him since we hadn't seen him since his graduation from the Naval Academy in 2019. I hadn't been to downtown Pensacola for decades so it was nice to see it again. Some towns have statues that they put in front of various businesses and then paint them. For instance, Chicago has bulls. Pensacola has pelicans. :D So fun!
Onward to Hilton Head, SC!
Hope you’re doing well guys. Has everything gone well for you? We’re working hard these days reclaiming our house in Parry Sound from renters who left the place absolutely filthy and most of the wooden floors a veritable mess and which need to be replaced. But I’m so glad I pulled the plug on them. Enjoy your travels, dear friends!
